I agree, I think you might think it looks off because of the lack of ears. You *could* exaggerate the front-most ridge on her neck to create a contrast to the jaw…but this is pretty damn gorgeous. Wonderfully done down to the smallest *fans* depressions…

Looks like a perfect front on of liara to me, I think the main reason you seem to have your doubts is that froma frontal view, you can't see the ears of the asari. Its easy to get caught up in what you see wrong with the picture, especially as the artist, but there is nothing you need to improve. the trick is knowing when you've got enough detail
