Steampunk Heart Necklace Tut. by aliceazzo Steampunk Heart Necklace Tut. by aliceazzo
EDIT#2 : Ok, so I'm getting a lot of comments asking where to get cogs etc, if you don't have any old watches to wildy destroy. For this I can only say EBAY! There are always a few such things on there for fairly reasonable prices, and your only other option is to have a look in a local craft store to see what they have. :meow:

EDIT: omg, daily deviation! That's never happened before, thanks everyone! :D:D:D

My first ever tutorial! :D

I made a couple of steampunk type jewellery items that I was quite pleased with, so I thought I'd make a short tutorial for them.

Please comment! And if anyone makes anything from this, I'd love to see a picture of it. :)

As a place for getting cogs and other Steampunk goodies, I would like to recommend ornamentea.com [link]. I am fond of their splat charms. but then I'm weird.

I have to try this someday. :giggle: My mom currently works in a shop selling clocks, so hopefully it won't be too difficult to get watch parts, gears, etc.

Thank you! This is very useful! ^^

You can get Sculpey at pretty much any art store. Try A.C. Moore, Michael's, Jo-Anne Fabrics, etc. I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart and Target have it too! Hope this helps!

Omg I love you for this!! I don't recall where I saw my first piece of steampunk jewelry, but I fell madly in love with it, and now I have come across this, hellz yeah!! Lol. My sister will love this too, I'll have to share it with her. My favorite of these pieces shown here: the third/fourth one (it is the same one, right?). "Awesome sauce," as my brother says. Lol. Wow.. the most I have spoken of my family in a comment before. :/

Gotta see more of this from you, truly awesome!
